Artanya Wesley Named Dean of Students

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater has named Artanya Wesley as its dean of students, effective July, 2016.

Wesley currently serves as senior academic planner for student affairs at the UW system.  Her responsibilities include state-wide consultation, coordination and task force work relayed policies that govern student behavior; sexual violence, harassment and legal compliance; student physical and mental health and campus support services; and university safety, security and crisis management.  She provides guidance for 14 UW System vice chancellors of student affairs, dean of students and Title IX coordinators.

Wesley also brings prior experience as a dean of students at UW-Platteville, and has served in various roles withing student affairs.  She is a recipient of the UW Sysetem Outstanding Women of Color in Education Award.
