Recap: Spring, 2019 Electronic Media Capstone Presentations

This past May, seven students successfully completed the Electronic Media Capstone course with final presentations held at the Heide Hall Auditorium.  The bi-annual event featured each student making a short presentation about what project he/she dedicated a better part of the spring, 2019 semester producing, and showcasing to an audience a short excerpt of that project.  The evening highlights also included each student fielding questions about his/her project from the audience, refreshments catered by A’viands and the Best Student Production presentation, and judged by Department of Communication faculty and the students enrolled in the course.

Students who presented for spring, 2019 were:

Ricardo Aguilar, “Andersen Library: A Brief History” (video documentary)

Tyler August, “Behind the Screen” (video documentary)

John Broughton, “The Fighting Spirit” (video documentary)

Ben Clark, “Clarity” (audio compilation)

Melvin Gomez, “Confronted by a Demon” (creative video)

Vandaz Lewis-Nation, “Student Success Management” (client video)

Cherrita Thao, “Erase” (creative video)

Due to time constraints, each student is only able to provide a short sample of the production during the final presentation evening, so links for each production in its entirety can be found under the Capstone Presentations (Electronic Media) tab of the UWW-TV website (uwwtv.org).

UWW-TV also has the ability to re-broadcast many of the creative projects and video documentaries as part of the weekly “Capstone” series that airs at various times during the academic year.
