Timely Warning: Robbery

In compliance with the “Timely Warning” provisions of the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act of 1998, the UW-Whitewater Police Department is releasing the following information:

At approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, the UW-Whitewater Police Department received a report that a student was the victim of a strong-armed robbery at McGraw Hall. No weapons were implied or displayed. The victim was walking out of the bathroom when someone grabbed his backpack and ran out of the northern most door of the building. In the backpack was a cell phone, laptop and calculator. The alleged robber is described by the victim as a black male in his early twenties with a possible thin beard. He is described as being 5’ 7” with a buzzed short haircut. He was last seen wearing black gym shorts and a black hooded sweatshirt.
