UWWTV to Cover Battle of Two Top 5 Teams

The NCAA D3 football playoffs roll on this weekend with the quarterfinals. The top ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks will welcome the fifth ranked Wartburg Knights to Perkins Stadium this Saturday. Kick off is scheduled for 12:00pm CDT. UWWTV will be broadcasting the game LIVE! Coverage begins at 11:30am CDT with Warhawk Sports Saturday, followed by kickoff.

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks enter this weekend’s contest 12-0 and ranked first in the nation. Last weekend the Warhawks defeated the (#14)Little Giants of Wabash College 38-14. The Warhawks won the WIAC Conference to earn their spot in the playoffs. Also this week head coach Lance Leipold was announced as the new coach at the University of Buffalo. Leipold will continue with the Warhawks until the end of this season.

Wartburg will travel from Waverly IA. to take on the Warhawks. The Knights are ranked 5th in the nation and also hold a 12-0 record. To make the playoffs the Knights were the winners of the IIAC Conference. Last weekend Wartburg defeated (#13)St. John’s 21-10 in Waverly IA.
