Volleyball WIAC Tournament Semifinals

Coming up this Thursday, November 3rd, The UW-Whitewater Warhawks Volleyball team will host the WIAC Tournament Semifinals and face-off against the No. 5 ranked UW-Stevens Point Pointers.  UWW-TV will have live coverage Semifinals beginning at 6:45pm CDT.  As a result regularly scheduled programming will be pre-empted for this LIVE WIAC Tournament

After going five sets with UW-Eau Claire, the Pointers of Stevens Point defeated the Blugolds and are headed to UW-Whitewater.  The Pointers are coming in 27-6 overall and are looking to defeat the defending WIAC champions in the Warhawks.  The Warhawks are 25-6 overall and entered postseason play on a six-match winning streak, including three-set victories over UW-La Cross, UW-Eau Claire, Millikin(Ill.), Loras(Iowa), Carthage, and Bethel(Minn.)  The winner of the WIAC Tournament earns the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
