“Warhawk Sports Saturday” Broadcasting LIVE Prior to Kick-Off

UWW-TV is proud to introduce the premiere of “Warhawk Sports Saturday”, which airs one hour prior to the start of the Warhawk home football game.  Karlee Nimmer, Jack Nortman and Heidi Schubert  serve as hosts as WSS broadcsts LIVE in the television studio at Andersen Library 1215.

This weekend, “Warhawk Sports Saturday” goes on the air beginning at 1:00pm (CT), before the 2:00pm kick-off between UW-Whitewater and UW-River falls live from Perkins Stadium.  The broadcast team will also provide a halftime report, and if time allows, post-game wrap up.

The production, which also includes several other Journalism and Electronic Media students working behind the scenes, actually premiered September 22 prior to the non-conference game against UW-Stevens Point.  “Warhawk Sports Saturday” airs on UWW-TV only on weekends that the Warhawks play home games.  But the show’s content will feature  field reports including “Inside Warhawk Football” with head coach Lance Leipold and game highlights from the previous week’s road game (the come-from-behind victory at UW-Platteville), providing a true pre-game experience for the students and the audience.
