UWW-TV and the campus radio station, The Edge 91.7 WSUW, take pride in working hard to produce content each week. Some of that work was recognized at the annual Wisconsin Broadcasters Associations conference last weekend.
UWW-TV took home two awards in television:
Sports Programming Non-Play-by-Play (TV) – 1st Place: Warhawk Sports Saturday
Long Form Production Non-News (TV) – 3rd place: The Backup Dream
Students spent the morning attending workshops about various aspects of television and radio. After the workshops, students had the opportunity to attend one of two break-out sessions. One focused on learning about what previous UW-Whitewater Alumni, Lane Kimble, and Kaitlyn Howe would have done differently prior to graduation, while the other created the opportunity to “speed network,” with various broadcast professionals. Overall everyone learned a lot and had a great time.
