Electronic Media and Broadcast/Print/Web Journalism students are able to learn and engage in a great work experience by participating in a number of opportunities at UWW-TV including but not limited to:
- News Anchoring
- Investigative Reporting
- Sports Announcing
- Television Producing
- Directing
Students who find they especially enjoy the program are gifted the opportunity of employment with UWW-TV and are paid for their services. UWW-TV is the perfect venue for students who wish to complement a quality education with a four-year experience in video production, news gathering, and announcing.
Since its inception in 1980, UWW-TV (UW-Whitewater’s campus cable television station) has been an important part of the campus and community, providing news, sports, and educational programming produced entirely by students. UWW-TV is part of the campus cable line-up, channel 100.1, and is part of the Spectrum cable line-up in the city of Whitewater and outlying areas on digital channel 989, reaching over 100,000 households in southern and southeastern Wisconsin.
