Viacom Channels off the air through Directv

Do not adjust your television set…the problem is not yours!!  That is, if you are attempting to access specific networks on the UWW Directv campus line-up and instead are seeing a logo or blank screen.

As of Tuesday, Directv and Viacom were unable to negotiate a deal that would keep such networks as Nick, Spike and Comedy Central on the air.  As a result, these channels cannot be viewed until further notice. 

The channels affected by this failed negotiation include: Nick/Nick Jr./Teen Nick, MTV/MTV2, Comedy Central, BET, TVLand, CMT, and Spike.

Viacom and Directv appear to be pointing the finger at each other for the failure to reach an agreement, and are advising you as a consumer to contact the other party to complain.  We will keep you updated on the progress, but please realize this issue is beyond our control.
