UWW-TV Wins Three Awards at WBA Conference

UWW-TV and the campus radio station, The Edge 91.7 WSUW, take pride in working hard to produce content each week. Some of that work was recognized at the annual Wisconsin Broadcasters Associations conference this past weekend.

UWW-TV brought back three awards in the television category:

Sports Programming Non-Play-by-Play (TV) – 1st Place: Warhawk Sports Saturday

Sports Programming Play-by-Play (TV) – 1st Place: Warhawk Football vs. John Carroll – NCAA Quarterfinals.

Television Public Affairs – 2nd Place: The Compass

Students spent the morning attending workshops about various aspects of television and radio. After the workshops, students had the opportunity to attend one of two break-out sessions. One focused on learning about the new construction of the WMTV NBC 15 station, while the other created the opportunity to “speed network,” with various broadcast professionals. Overall everyone learned a lot and had a great time.
