UWWTV to Televise 3 NCAA Tournament Games This Weekend
UW-Whitewater will play host to 4 teams in the first weekend of the NCAA D3 mens basketball playoff, and UWWTV has you covered with LIVE broadcasts of all three games.
There will be two games on Friday:
At 5:30pm the Augustana Vikings will play the Tommies of St. Thomas.
At 7:30pm the Eagles of Northwestern (MN) will play the UW-Whitewater Warhawks.
There will be one game on Saturday:
At 7:00pm the two winners from Friday will square off with a spot in the sweet 16 on the line.
The unranked Augustana Vikings are from Rock Island, IL and come into the tournament with a 19-7 overall record and a 9-5 conference record. Augustana fell to Wheaton in the semi-finals of the CCIW tournament.
The 18th ranked Tommies of St. Thomas will travel to Whitewater from St. Paul, MN. St. Thomas currently holds a 22-5 overall record, and an 18-2 conference record. The Tommies lost to St. Olaf in the MIAC finals.
The unranked Northwestern Eagles are from Roseville, MN. Northwestern currently holds a 16-11 overall record, and a 11-3 conference record. The Eagles come into the tournament off of a win over Crown in the UMAC championship game.
The 3rd ranked UW-Whitewater Warhawks are from Whitewater, WI. Whitewater enters the tournament with an overall record of 23-4 and a conference record of 13-3. The Warhawks fell to UW-Stevens Point in the WIAC championship.
